What's a fandom without a fan base? Part of me wants to say 'sane and calm'. ^_^ But seriously, where would we be without each other feeding our addictions? Fan works can be a critical part in helping open our eyes to see a character in a new light. Lord knows I used to despise Scott Summers (Cyclops of X-Men) for being such an uptight, anal jerk. That was my first impression, and I'd never been inclined to look at him closer. Then back in 1999 or so, I stumbled over some fanfictions written by people who had looked closer, and through their eyes, I saw him as I'd never seen him before. Heroics by Northlight holds the distinction of being the first story to start me on that journey, opening my eyes. He's still an uptight jerk. But now, I can see why he's the way he is, and I can understand, even appreciate, his reasonings and appreciate the character.
In some ways, Filia makes me think of Scott. Both of them are widely misunderstood because their very attitudes can be extremely offputting. But what's behind the attitudes? Just a jerk and a snobby bitch, or something more? There's more to Filia than the holier-than-thou self righteous Dragon girl we first encounter in the beginning.
Remember the class exercise John Keating had the boys do in Dead Poets Society, where they were all called up to stand upon his desk and take a look around at how the classroom -- still the same room as ever -- seemed just a bit different when viewed from another angle? Come stand upon the desk, and look at the world, or at least a character, through different eyes.
This is the only open archive I run. However, just because it is open does not mean everything submitted will be accepted. Quality and content are important, as is remaining within the way Filia is portrayed in this site. If you feel you have a fanwork that you feel fits the guidelines that you wish to submit, please contact me and submit it.

I personally write many fanfictions which have a heavy Filia-centric focus. However, because I'm lazy to save space and bandwidth, I won't post them here unless they're completely centered on Filia's life, and I actually feel like posting it in yet another place. Unless stated otherwise, none of these fanfictions were written by me. To see my fanfics, you can go to my fanfiction site.

- Extreme - by Sat-Isis/Suten Net. (no pairing, R, abusive situations, nonsexual nudity) Summary: A younger, pre-TRY Filia faces the concequences for breaking rules.
- For Herself - by Zanne Chaos. (no explicit pairing, PG, songfic, spoilers for TRY) Summary: A surface glance at Filia's life from childhood to post-TRY.
- Heat - by Crystal Dawn Phoenix. (Xellos/Filia, NC-17) Summary: Filia develops a dangerous biological condition, and Xellos offers a resolution.
- When There's Nothing Left to Be - by Zanne Chaos. (no explicit pairing, PG) Summary: A story in three parts, following Filia for several months after the end of TRY, up past Val's hatching.
